Educational Multimedia Website

For my website I chose the topic public art. I created the website using IMovie. I thought it was really easy to use compared to the other sites I first tried. The website is intended for my 8th grade students. It covers what public art is and the benefits of public art. I created a quiz in proprofs for my assessment. I enjoyed researching and working on this website. I have found a lot of great resources and ideas for future projects with my students. Public art is an excellent topic for a school wide unit. I look forward to using this lesson! PUBLIC ART

Video Production

This took forever!!!  I had to visit the genius bar in order to get IMOVIE reinstalled.  I am glad I did!  Imovie was so much easier to use then the three days I spent trying to get moviemaker to work.  I think my next attempt at using IMOVIE will be so much easier.  My video was about sculptures in the city of Cleveland.  I want to encourage my students to be aware of the beauty in their city and understand its significance.

Google Docs #2

I created a student interest form in google documents. I used a pre-existing template and changed it to meet my needs. I always pass out an information sheet on the first day, this google doc form will help me to keep my students contact information organized.  FORM

Evidence of Network Participation

My greatest learning tool throughout the semester has been the other students i the class. Everyone has been willing to help when I asked "Did you get that?" or "I am not sure how to do that."
I followed everyone in the classes blog. I checked to see their posted work or their blogs. By following others I was able to see how they were completing their assignments.
I posted on the video editing discussion forum. I emailed and texted other students for help. I also sent an email to the professor for help. Additionally, I responded and commented on blogs.

Color Screencast

I created my screencast in ScreenCast-O-Matic.  The site was easy to use and offered an informative video on how to create your own screencast.  After what felt like hours I feel I understand how to create a screencast.  I am pleased with my results and appreciate that my dogs cooperated and did not bark!  I plan to use this screencast in my elementary and middle school classes to introduce color and color mixing prior to painting.  I would like my middle school students to expand on the topic by demonstrating other colors which can be mixed from primary colors.  The students also could use their own images which they photographed from their completed projects.  Now that I understand how to create a screencast I plan to use it in my teaching. K-12 Wiki

For my K-12 Wiki I posted my Webquest: The Wonderful World of Color.  This is a webquest I designed to help elementary students learn and identify colors.  I would review colors before presenting this webquest to my students.  This webquest would be for students in grades kindergarten through second grade.  WIKI

Podcast

My Podcast is for middle school art students.  The students will listen to the podcast at home and answer the questions relating to the topic.  There will be a total of three podcasts for my students throughout the year.  Each podcast will cover an array of  topics, different types of art and introduce students to artists.
